Avian Encephalomyelitis (AE, Epidemic Tremor)


Clinical disease is manifest as ataxia and head tremors in chickens in the first weeks of life and in adults as a transient drop in egg production. The virus is egg transmitted. Natural hosts are the domestic fowl, turkeys, pheasants and Japanese quail.
