Abstract

Part one of this article (Vetscript, February 2010) examined the changes in the New Zealand dairy herd and industry management practices that have led to under-nutrition and under-growth in many herds. The second and final part in this series looks at the practicalities of management changes to address this problem and concludes with a consideration of  the role of the clinical veterinarian.
