Abstract: IN a previous paper (Pullan and Whitten, 1972) the evidence indicating the recent spread of Fasciola in New Zealand has been discussed. This paper presents additional evidence derived from a nationwide survey of the incidence of infection found in slaughtered sheep and cattle. In January 1969, before the survey was begun, a questionnaire sent to all slaughterhouses indicated that there was probably an upsurge and spread of liver fluke not only in Northland and the west coast of the North Island but also in the Bay of Plenty and Nelson.
