Abstract: Psychotropic drugs and natural products can be useful for reducing signs associated with phobias, panic or anxiety, and to improve trainability when the dog is anxious, fearful, or aroused. For aggressive dogs, drugs should also be dispensed when the behaviour is abnormal, pathological or lacks impulse control. However, drugs do not change the relationship with the stimulus; therefore, concurrent behaviour modification is needed to desensitize, countercondition and train desirable behaviours...
