Abstract: Benchmarking can be defined as the measurement of the quality of an organisation's policies, products, programs, strategies, etc., and their comparison with standard measurements, or similar measurements of their peers. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the strengths and weaknesses or the Australian Veterinary Association Practice Management (AVAPM) Special Interest Group’s online surveys, as well as to discuss the ways that I have used these surveys and other AVAPM resources to improve our practice.
