Abstract: Endometritis is a major problem facing stud veterinarians attempting to maximise per cycle conception and foaling rates. Recent advances have improved our understanding of the pathogenesis of endometritis and resulted in more effective methods to minimise the impact on fertility. This presentation will concentrate on differentiating the types of endometritis to target treatment but for a historical perspective refer to the references at the end of the lecture notes.
