Abstract: The range of pathology affecting the equine gastrointestinal tract is vast, with some conditions only appearing occasionally and others for which the aetiology or pathogenesis is not yet understood. Other conditions are re-emerging in terms of importance and should now be considered as differentials in the diagnosis of equine gastrointestinal disease.
