Abstract: The Australian Government Department of Agriculture and the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries both have central roles in facilitating import and export of goods to and from their respective countries whilst managing the risks to the environment, animal, plant and human health. Intelligence gathering and analysis on emerging and re-emerging pest and disease threats is critical to ensure that these risks are managed effectively.
