Abstract: Yershla pseudofuberculosis infection is probably endemic in wild birds which act as a reservoir of the disease for a wide range of other avian (and mammalian) species. Outbreaks are most common in aviary colonies of finches and canaries and in zoological gardens but the disease can occur in fowls, ducks, turkeys, and geese.
