Abstract:

Arboviruses are significant pathogens of horses in many countries worldwide, with the recent outbreak of African horse sickness in Thailand,the West Nile virus (WNV) outbreaks in the USA and Europe in the early 21st Century demonstrating the serious impact that these diseases can have both on horse welfare and on the horse industry in affected countries.
