Abstract: There are many health, economic and social issues faced on a daily basis in Australian remote indigenous communities (RICs). Canine overpopulation, poor animal health and the impacts of animals on humans and the environment represent only some of them. Regardless, these specific issues need to be considered as they are important socially and contribute to one health.
