Abstract: The most vital thing in veterinary dentistry is a thorough oral examination of our patients. Dentistry should not be defined by its treatments nor should it be associated only with one disease. As with all other body systems the oral cavity and the teeth can be affected by a number of problems, and the correct identification of these issues is paramount to the appropriate treatment of our patients. Examination, diagnosis and then treatment as with all other systems.
