Abstract:

When the paper by Bryan and Hea., doi:10.1080/00480169.2016.1256794, was first published online the wording of the last sentence of the sixth paragraph in the Results section on page 3 was incorrect. The correct wording should be:

“This pattern was reflected in all regions although the usage varied between regions, with dry cow intramammary usage being much higher in Southland and South Otago than the other regions.”

In addition, the wording of the second paragraph in the Discussion section on page 4 was incorrect. The correct wording should be:

“Antimicrobial usage in the 2014–15 season in 436 Southland and South Otago dairy farms was 9.54 mg ai/PCU. Although this figure is higher than the national monitoring scheme average, it does align with the regional Southland and South Otago data from that scheme, and may reflect regional differences in usage. The differences between the selected national group and the regional group need to be explored to determine reasons for different antimicrobial use patterns.”

This has now been corrected in the print and online versions.
