Abstract:

During the course of studies on changes in the pelvic region of the pregnant ewe (Bassett and Phillips, 1955a ), a large number of bony pelves have been examined. The sheep were selected with regard to their suitability for the above investigations rather than for the study of pelvimetry. However, it was possible to make various structural measurements which could be expected to give some idea of the characteristic dimensions and shape of the ewe's pelvis.
