Abstract:
Since the identification of Toxoplasma as a cause of disease in small mammals called gondi in North Africa nearly 50 years ago, this organism has been demonstrated in almost all parts of the world in many species of wild mammals and birds, including domestic animals and man. The present status of toxoplasmosis in animals has been reviewed by Cole et al. (1954).
