Abstract: A trial to assess the efftcacy of pour-on insecticides, currently available in New Zealand, against the long-nosed sucking louse (Linognathus vituli) was carried out at Wallaceville during the autumn of 1971. Four groups, each of five Friesian calves, were used. Animals in one group (control) were not treated with insecticide
