Abstract: Limited preliminary observations (Cooper, 1972) suggested that cell-mediated immunity (CMI) might be involved in the respoase of sheep to Fusiformis nodosus infection. To explore this possibility, lymphocytes from experimentally infected animals showing severe foot-rot. lesions were tested for their ability to undergo transformation in vitro in response to F. nodosus antigens.
