Abstract: It has been the practice of this club for many years to examine rams for epididymitis and to cull those with palpable lesions. The value of this as a control method for Brucella ovis is known to be limited. Recently, and especially following publicity in the farming press, farmers have become increasingly aware of the complement fixation test. We have had equivocal results with this test in the past and regarded this trend with some trepidation
