Abstract: Non-surgical embryo recovery and transfer procedures must be perfected before the embryo-transfer technique has more widespread application in our cattle industry. Successful and simple techniques for the non-surgical recovery of embryos have recently been developed overseas and are now being used commercially here. Pregnancy rates of up to 60% have been achieved after non-surgical transfers of single embryos to unbred recipient but the results from the technique have been very variable (0-43%), and it is being used commercially only in Holland. This letter describes our experience with nonsurgical transfers
