Abstract: Surgical embryo recovery and transfer techniques have been used commercially in cattle, by the authors, for 5 years. This letter describes the results achieved in the 1977-78 season at Wairaki Station in Southland. The work was done in two 6-week periods during November-December 1977 and March-April 1978. The results demonstrate successful superovulation and embryo collection with repeat donor treatments and operations.
