Abstract: Thank you for outlining the reasons for maintaining the anonymity of “experts” involved in the question and answer feature. I accept your assurance that the standard of expert opinion sought will be high. I hope that readers will critically assess the answers they provide and use the columns of the blue pages for correspondence to keep the experts “honest” if necessary. As additional information which may help answer the question “what is the most likely cause of nephritis in cats in this country?” may I provide some data quickly taken from WhAHL files…
