Abstract: Referring to M. H. Blunt`s letter to the Journal for December, 1980 regarding canine parvovirus disease, I would like to take issue with several points. To date, we have had fourteen confirmed cases of parvovirus disease in this practice. The first three were sporadic, and occurred between May and October of 1980. The remainder were seen in November and December of 1980. The diagnosis was confirmed in these cases by virus isolation or by high antibody titres at the Ruakura Animal Health Laboratory.
