Abstract: Much has been said and written about anthelmintic resistance, but although careful watch is kept, little has emerged on fly resistance to organic phosphorus compounds. Between Christmas 1981 and New Year 1982 I was in communication with a situation in the Wairau Valley in Marlborough (from whence dieldrin resistance was first recorded) that initially looked disturbing
