Abstract: I was very interested to read Karen Booth`s recent article entitled `Brodifacoum poisoning in a dog. The article highlighted the use of the `second generation` anticoagulant rodenticides and discussed the difficulties of treatment. J.L. Grayson, Peninsula Veterinary Services, 743 Whangaparaoa Road, Whangaparaoa Received 24th July, 1989 In Table I, I presume that the whole blood clotting time (WBCT) on day 29 of treatment was 1 and not 10 minutes, thus indicating that therapy could safely be stopped. I was surprised to read that VIT K₁ in tablet form was unavailable. We replenished our supply of Konakion VIT K₁ 10mg tablets from our Auckland wholesaler last week (July 89) with a March 1993 dating. I was also interested to read that Karen Booth had elected…
