Abstract: Species of metastrongylid nematodes of the genus Filaroides have been recorded in various hosts throughout the world. In New Zealand, the only known species is Filaroides (= Oslerus) osleri, which occurs in wart-like nodules near the bifurcation of the trachea of the dog. Recently, we detected a species of Filaroides previously unrecorded in New Zealand.
